Already Got Your Lights, Fans or Heaters? Here’s How to Bring Them Into AC Infinity Control
Loads of growers want the control, automation and app features of the AC Infinity UIS system, but they’ve already got lights, fans, heaters or other kit from other brands they trust.
The good news is that you do not always need to replace everything. With the right AC Infinity UIS cable, adaptor or control plug, you can connect selected third-party equipment into your controller setup and start automating more of your grow room from one place.
This guide explains what the main AC Infinity cables do, how the controllers work alongside them, and what you need for non-AC Infinity gear such as Omega LEDs, Mammoth fans, Grow Gadgets heaters and other standard grow room equipment.
Quick Answer: Which AC Infinity Cable Do I Need?
The right cable depends on what type of equipment you want to control.
- Compatible LEDs (such as OMEGA) or third-party LED grow lights with RJ11/RJ12 0-10V or PWM dimming: use an AC Infinity UIS Device Adaptor Type A
- Compatible third-party LED grow lights using resistive dimming: use an AC Infinity UIS Device Adaptor Type B
- Standard plug-in fans, heaters, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and other mains appliances: use a UIS Control Plug from the AC Infinity UIS Cables & Connectors range

The simple rule is this: if the device has a compatible control port, you may be able to control it through a UIS adaptor. If it is just a normal plug-in appliance, you are usually looking at on/off control through a UIS Control Plug.
How AC Infinity Controllers Work
An AC Infinity controller acts as the brain of your grow room. Depending on the model and connected equipment, it can help control things like lighting schedules, fan speed, temperature, humidity and timed operation.
The controller connects to compatible equipment through the AC Infinity UIS system. UIS cables carry control signals between the controller and the connected device, allowing the controller to tell that piece of equipment what to do.
For example, a compatible AC Infinity inline fan can be speed controlled directly. A compatible LED can be dimmed or scheduled. A standard plug-in heater can be switched on or off using a control plug.
The important bit is understanding the level of control each connection gives you. Not every product becomes fully smart just because it is plugged into an AC Infinity controller.
Control Signal vs Power Control
This is the part that matters most.
Some equipment has a control port. This is normally used for dimming, speed control or linking the product to an external controller. With the correct UIS adaptor, the AC Infinity controller can send a control signal to the device.
Other equipment is just a standard mains appliance. It plugs into the wall, turns on, and does its job. These products do not usually have a separate data or dimming port. For those, the AC Infinity controller can only control the power supply using a UIS Control Plug.
That means:
- Control signal: used for compatible LEDs and devices with controller ports
- Power control: used for standard plug-in appliances that can be switched on and off
A UIS adaptor does not power the equipment. Your LED, fan or appliance still needs its normal mains power cable. The adaptor simply lets the controller communicate with the device.
What Each AC Infinity UIS Cable and Connector Does
There are a few different AC Infinity UIS accessories, and they all do different jobs. Choosing the right one depends on whether you want to connect a third-party device, extend a cable, run more equipment from one port or control a standard plug-in appliance.
AC Infinity UIS Device Adaptor Type A
The AC Infinity UIS Device Adaptor Type A is used for compatible third-party equipment with RJ11/RJ12 style control ports using 0-10V or PWM dimming.
This is the one you are most likely to need for compatible LED grow lights, including selected Omega Infinity-style lights with the right control port and dimming signal.
AC Infinity UIS Device Adaptor Type B
The AC Infinity UIS Device Adaptor Type B is for compatible third-party devices using a resistive dimming signal.
The port may still look similar to other RJ11/RJ12-style connections, but the control signal is different. That is why it is important to check the exact light or device before ordering.
UIS Control Plug Outlet Adapter
The UIS Control Plug is for standard mains equipment. Instead of sending a dimming or speed-control signal, it switches the power to the appliance on and off.
This is the option to look at for plug-in equipment such as standard Mammoth fans, Grow Gadgets heaters, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and other appliances, provided the product is suitable for external power switching.
4-Way Splitter Hub
The 4-Way Splitter Hub lets you run more UIS devices from one controller port. This is useful when you want multiple compatible devices to follow the same control channel.
For example, you may want multiple compatible fans or accessories linked into one part of the setup.
Wireless UIS Connection
The Wireless UIS Connection is useful when running a physical cable is awkward. It lets you link a controller and compatible UIS device wirelessly, helping keep larger rooms and awkward spaces tidier.
Male-to-Male UIS Cable
A male-to-male UIS cable connects compatible UIS devices and controllers over distance. Use this when you need a clean cable run between the controller and the equipment.
Female-to-Male UIS Extension Cable
A female-to-male UIS extension cable extends the reach of an existing UIS cable or probe. This is useful if your controller is mounted outside the tent or your equipment is further away.
Controller Power Pack
The Controller Power Pack lets you power an AC Infinity controller independently. This is useful when you want the controller running on its own, without relying on a connected device for power.
Connecting Omega LEDs to an AC Infinity Controller
If you want to use an AC Infinity controller with an Omega LED grow light, the first thing to check is whether the light has a compatible controller port.
Selected Omega LEDs, especially models from the Omega Infinity ranges, are the most likely options for mixed-brand AC Infinity control because they are built with external control in mind.
For compatible Omega LEDs using RJ11/RJ12 style 0-10V or PWM dimming, use the AC Infinity UIS Device Adaptor Type A.
This lets the Omega LED connect into the AC Infinity UIS system, so the light can work alongside the rest of your controller setup rather than running completely separately.
Compatible Omega Infinity LEDs
- Omega Infinity 200W
- Omega Infinity 300W
- Omega Infinity 600W
- Omega Infinity 1000W
Important: do not assume every Omega LED uses the same control signal. Always check the exact model before choosing Type A or Type B.
What About Omega Black LEDs?
Omega Black LEDs need to be checked model by model.
Some Omega Black LEDs are more basic and may not have the same controller compatibility as the Omega Infinity range. Some newer or Plus-style versions may have controller ports, but you should not assume compatibility without checking the exact light.
Use this as the safe rule:
- If the Omega Black LED has a compatible RJ11/RJ12 0-10V or PWM control port: use the UIS Device Adaptor Type A
- If it uses resistive dimming: use the UIS Device Adaptor Type B
- If it has no compatible control port: you may only be able to use a UIS Control Plug for simple on/off scheduling
If you want proper dimming and control through your AC Infinity controller, check before buying the cable. The plug shape alone is not enough; the control signal matters too.
Connecting Other Non-AC Infinity LED Grow Lights
The same logic applies to other LED grow lights, whether you are using Omega, Maxibright, Lumatek, Telos or another brand.
Ask two questions:
- Does the light have a controller/dimming port?
- What dimming signal does that port use?
If the light has a compatible RJ11/RJ12 controller port and uses 0-10V or PWM dimming, look at the UIS Device Adaptor Type A.
If the light uses resistive dimming, look at the UIS Device Adaptor Type B.
If the light has no compatible controller port, a UIS Control Plug may allow basic on/off control, but you will not get proper dimming through the AC Infinity controller.
Connecting Mammoth Extraction Fans
Standard Mammoth extraction fans are reliable, simple and great value, but they are not the same as AC Infinity UIS fans.
If you are using a standard plug-in Mammoth fan, you are usually looking at on/off power control using a UIS Control Plug.
This means the AC Infinity controller can switch the fan on or off based on your settings, provided the fan automatically starts when power is supplied.
What it will not do is turn a standard Mammoth fan into a fully variable-speed smart fan. You will not get the same smooth speed control you get from an AC Infinity UIS-compatible EC fan.
Good uses for Mammoth fans with a UIS Control Plug
- Timed intake fan control
- Boost extraction when temperatures rise
- Backup airflow for hotter periods
- Simple on/off fan automation
Top Tip: be careful with main extraction. For most grow rooms, your extraction and carbon filter should run consistently enough to keep air moving and smells controlled. Constantly switching extraction fully off can cause heat, humidity and odour to build up.
Connecting Mammoth Circulation Fans
For plug-in Mammoth circulation fans, wall fans or clip fans, use the same approach as standard plug-in equipment.
If the fan restarts automatically when power is supplied, a UIS Control Plug can switch it on and off through your AC Infinity controller.
This can be useful for timed airflow, lights-on airflow or temperature-triggered extra air movement.
Again, most standard plug-in circulation fans will only get on/off control. They will not usually get variable speed control unless the fan itself is designed for external control.
Connecting Grow Gadgets Heaters
Grow room heaters need a bit more care because they are usually higher-load appliances.
A standard Grow Gadgets heater is normally mains powered, so it will not connect with a UIS adaptor like a compatible LED grow light. If you want to control it from an AC Infinity controller, you would normally use a UIS Control Plug.
The control plug can switch the heater on and off based on your controller settings, but only if the heater is suitable for that style of control.
Before using any heater with a control plug, check:
- The heater’s wattage
- The control plug’s maximum rating
- Whether the heater starts automatically when power is supplied
- Whether the heater has its own thermostat or safety cut-off
- Whether the heater is safe to use with external on/off switching
If you are not sure, ask us before connecting it. Heaters should always be set up carefully, especially in enclosed grow rooms and tents.
Connecting Humidifiers and Dehumidifiers
Humidifiers and dehumidifiers can also be controlled with a UIS Control Plug, provided they restart automatically when power is supplied.
This matters because some appliances need you to press a button after they turn on at the wall. If that is the case, the controller can send power to the device, but it cannot press the button for you.
For best results, choose equipment that comes back on automatically after a power cut or after being switched at the plug.

Can I Use One Controller For Multiple Devices?
Yes, but you may need extra UIS accessories depending on the layout of your room and how many devices you want to connect.
If you need more reach, use a UIS extension cable. If you want to connect more devices to one port, use a 4-way splitter hub. If cabling is awkward, use the wireless UIS connection. If you want the controller powered on its own, use the controller power pack.

Simple Compatibility Checklist Before You Buy
Before ordering any cable, adaptor or control plug, check these points:
- What exact product are you trying to control?
- Is it an LED, fan, heater, humidifier, dehumidifier or another appliance?
- Does it have a controller port, or is it just a standard mains plug?
- If it has a control port, is it RJ11, RJ12 or another connection?
- Does it use 0-10V, PWM or resistive dimming?
- If it is mains powered, does it restart automatically when power is supplied?
- Do you need dimming or speed control, or is simple on/off control enough?
- Is the wattage safe for the plug, controller or socket you are using?
If you are not sure, ask before buying. Similar-looking ports can use different signals, and the wrong adaptor may not control the device properly.

Omega Infinity LED + AC Infinity Controller
Use the AC Infinity UIS Device Adaptor Type A, provided the light has confirmed compatible RJ11/RJ12 0-10V or PWM dimming control.
Omega Black LED + AC Infinity Controller
Check the exact model first. If it has a compatible 0-10V or PWM controller port, use Type A. If it uses resistive dimming, use Type B. If it has no compatible control port, you may only be able to use a UIS Control Plug for on/off control.
Mammoth TT Fan + AC Infinity Controller
Use a UIS Control Plug for simple on/off power control, provided the fan restarts automatically when powered. For full variable speed control, use a UIS-compatible fan instead.
Mammoth Circulation Fan + AC Infinity Controller
Use a UIS Control Plug for on/off control. This can be useful for timed airflow, extra airflow during lights on or simple temperature-triggered operation.
Grow Gadgets Heater + AC Infinity Controller
Use a UIS Control Plug only if the heater is suitable, within the safe wattage rating and restarts automatically when power is supplied. Always check heater safety before using any external control plug.
Humidifier or Dehumidifier + AC Infinity Controller
Use a UIS Control Plug if the appliance automatically restarts when powered. If it needs a manual button press, it will not work properly with simple power control.
