How Mykos Works:
Xtreme Gardening’s pedigree is unsurpassed, with a range of products that have been instrumental in smashing no less than seven world records. The crowning glory was an inspirational 2000lb pumpkin that staggered audiences back in 2012 with its monumental proportions. For many years, the secrets to growing such awe-inspiring crops were closely guarded. Luckily, the team at Xtreme Gardening have decided to share their wisdom with the general public in a bold attempt to raise the bar for horticultural standards worldwide.
Mykos is cultivated outdoors in the California, USA. It's cultivated outside as it leads to a stronger strain of Rhizophagus being created unlike lab cultivated inoculants. Mykos contains propagules and spores with a higher density than other products, as propagules colonise more effectively and quickly than spores alone. Mykos Wettable Powder and Root Paks can be used in hydroponic gardening, even at high EC levels where other inoculants would die off making this product more robust and useful to all growers regardless of your growing method/s.
Xtreme Gardening Mykos – Pure Mycorrhizal Inoculant
Mykos works by capitalising on the symbiotic relationship between plants and fungi. Mycorrhizal fungi works with your plant by drawing a small percentage of its essential sugars to use as energy. In return, the fungi creates a defensive fortress around roots, increasing their surface area and improving nutrient uptake and resistance to drought and disease. Mykos protects your plants against heat stress and prevents harmful pathogens from making root contact.
Xtreme Gardening Mykos – Wettable Powder
Wettable Powder is designed to be used on plants that are already established, as a natural root enhancer. It has been known to improve soil structure, and increase the availability of nutrients and moisture required for plant growth. Just mix the powder with water and apply directly around the base of your plant. Can also be used as a root drench and in reservoirs. Wettable Powder can be used in hydro as well as coco and soil media.
Xtreme Gardening Mykos – Root Paks
Root paks are a quick and easy way to use Mykos - a powerful strain of mycorrhizal fungi. Just pop them underneath your transplant cube, plug, root ball when potting up into new containers. Mykos works with plants by drawing a small percentage of its essential sugars to use as energy. This increases water uptake and leads to increased surface area for nutrient absorption. Root paks can be used in hydro as well as coco and soil media.
We recommend pairing mycorrhizal treatments with a carbohydrate supplement such as Humboldt Nutrients Honey Hydro or Advanced Nutrients Bud Candy. That way, you’ll experience all of the benefits of mycorrhizae with none of the draw-backs!
How to use Mykos:
Mycorrhizals can sometimes be killed off by heavily concentrated mineral-based fertilisers before they've had a chance to fully establish themselves. These treatments are much more effective when used early on while plants are on a light feed or, ideally, plain water.
Mykos is formulated for use in soil or coco based media. Once your cuttings or seedlings are rooted into their rooting plugs, add 15ml-30ml of Mykos for each plant site when transplanting to their first containers.
