Why Choose the Rhino Ultra EC?
Traditional AC fans are noisy, inefficient, and don’t scale well. EC fans solve all that. The Rhino Ultra’s brushless EC motor gives you quiet operation at low power draw, with full control via digital controllers. Its built-in soft-start technology prevents power surges, while the acoustic foam casing kills vibration and noise.
Max Airflow Rates
- 150mm (6") – 530 m³/h
- 200mm (8") – 1205 m³/h
- 250mm (10") – 1800 m³/h
- 300mm (12") - 2987m³/h
These figures reflect full-speed, unrestricted airflow performance.
How to Use the Rhino Silenced Ultra EC Fan
Setting up the Rhino Ultra EC Fan is straightforward — but getting the best results takes a few smart steps. Here’s how to get it running right the first time:
-
Step 1: Mounting
Use strong hanging straps or brackets to suspend the fan from your grow tent frame or wall. Keep it horizontal and well supported to minimise vibration. Mounting it on bungee cords can help reduce any residual hum in sensitive setups.
-
Step 2: Connection
Attach the fan to your carbon filter using a short length of ducting and jubilee clips. Make sure the airflow arrow on the fan body is pointing away from the filter and toward your ducting outlet.
-
Step 3: Ducting
Run your ducting from the outlet side of the fan to an external vent, window, or another safe extraction point. Keep ducting runs short and as straight as possible for best performance. Use acoustic ducting to keep the system quiet.
-
Step 4: Power & Control
Plug the fan into a compatible EC fan controller (like the G.A.S EC1, EC5, or Digital Fan Controller). These allow you to set temperature-based speed control or manually adjust fan output. No controller? The fan will still run at full power straight out the box.
-
Step 5: Test & Balance
Turn the fan on and check airflow, pressure, and noise levels. Tweak controller settings to balance temperature and odour control. Ensure negative pressure in your grow tent by watching the sides gently pull inwards when sealed.
With correct installation, your Rhino Ultra EC Fan will quietly handle extraction day and night, no stress, no drama.
