Mammoth Juiced Intake Fan For Grow Tents – Balance Negative Pressure & Bring Fresh Air Into Your Grow Room
The Intake Fan Kit (EC) gives you the perfect way to balance negative pressure and bring fresh, filtered air into your grow space. Each kit includes a powerful Mammoth Juiced EC Inline Fan, 5 metres of Vortex Combi Ducting, and a duct clip – everything you need to create an active intake system that keeps your tent breathing evenly and your environment stable.
Key Benefits
- Balance negative pressure; prevents your tent walls collapsing inward while maintaining carbon filter efficiency
- Fresh air intake; feeds your canopy with oxygen-rich, CO₂-replenished air for faster growth and stronger yields
- EC efficiency; quiet, cool-running motor with 0–100% variable speed control built in
- Simple setup; plug-and-play design with lightweight aluminium housing and flexible Combi ducting
- Complete kit; includes everything you need – fan, 5m ducting, and duct clip
Why Active Intake Matters
Most growers rely on passive vents to draw air into their tent, but as extraction increases, this can lead to excessive negative pressure. The result? Sucked-in tent walls, reduced air exchange, and temperature or humidity imbalances. An active intake restores balance by feeding in a controlled amount of cool, fresh air to match your extraction rate. This stabilises VPD, keeps CO₂ levels consistent, and prevents your extraction fan from overworking.
How to Spec the Right Intake Size
To maintain proper negative pressure, your intake should move slightly less air than your extraction. A simple rule of thumb is to size the intake fan one step smaller than your extraction fan. For example:
- 4" extraction = 4" intake (run at 50–70% speed)
- 5" extraction = 4" intake
- 6" extraction = 5" intake
- 8" extraction = 6" intake
- 10" extraction = 8" intake
This ensures your tent walls pull in slightly, keeping odours contained while still drawing in plenty of fresh air. If you add long duct runs or intake filters, increase intake speed slightly to compensate for resistance.
How to Set Up
- Mount the fan: Position the Mammoth Juiced EC Fan at a lower tent port, blowing fresh air into the tent.
- Add ducting: Connect the included 5m Vortex Combi Ducting to pull cooler air from outside the tent or another room.
- Secure the connection: Use the supplied duct clip to fasten securely; avoid tight bends to maximise airflow.
- Adjust speed: Start around 30–50% and fine-tune until the tent walls sit gently inward for perfect negative pressure.
Available Kit Sizes
- 4" (100mm): up to 275 m³/h
- 5" (125mm): up to 280 m³/h
- 6" (150mm): up to 594 m³/h
- 8" (200mm): up to 1205 m³/h
- 10" (250mm): up to 1808 m³/h
What’s Included
- Mammoth Juiced EC Inline Fan – EC motor with integrated speed controller
- 5m Vortex Combi Ducting – multi-layer, light-tight aluminium/polyester
- Duct Clip – for a quick, secure connection
Tech Specs

- Construction: Lightweight aluminium housing
- Ducting length: 5 metres
- Application: Active intake for grow tents or small grow rooms
- Power: UK plug fitted; ready to use
Top Tip: Always aim for a slight inward pull on your tent walls – this means extraction is stronger than intake and your carbon filter is working efficiently. If walls collapse in, raise intake speed; if they bulge out, increase extraction or reduce intake flow.
