Big Bud is one of the best-known and most sought-after PK boosters in the industry, containing generous doses of phosphorus and potassium, along with L-amino acids. Big Bud delivers yields like nothing else, making it very highly recommended.
How Big Bud Works
Big Bud is a flowering Booster with a difference. Almost all flowering Boosters contain P and K, which are used in large amounts during the bloom phase. But Big Bud is also loaded with L-amino acids to increase flower formation and quality. Several L-amino acids act as co-factors or activators for enzymatic reactions. For instance, L-histidine is known to play a significant role in activating enzymes. L-tryptophan is a precursor to the plant hormone auxin, which is vital for cell division, growth, and differentiation. Arginine and glutamine can act as a source of readily available organic nitrogen, which supports an array of metabolic processes. Certain L-amino acids, like methionine, are precursors to chemicals that play a role in plant defense mechanisms against pests and diseases. Additionally, amino acids like proline are involved in stress resistance, helping plants withstand harsh environmental conditions. L-amino acids can even stimulate beneficial microbial activity, which in turn improves soil health, nutrient availability, and plant-microbe interactions.
The magnesium found in Big Bud helps to prevent potassium toxicity and improves texture and flavour, while the ascorbic and citric acids assist with respiration and metabolism.
Big Bud noticeably increases the number of flowering-sites and the number of flowers during the early to mid flowering stages. Towards the end of flowering, we recommend switching to Overdrive in order to harden and ripen your crop. Big Bud delivers incredible results when used with Sensi and Connoisseur base nutrients, and will not affect their 'pH perfect' technology.

How To Use
How to Use Big Bud
Big Bud is a flowering booster and stimulator, used alongside your usual hydroponic base nutrient (preferably Sensi Bloom or Connoisseur) from week two of flower, ending three weeks before harvest.
Fill your reservoir with fresh water and add your base nutrient and any other additives.
Add Big Bud to your nutrient solution at a rate of 2ml per litre and stir well. If you have used only Advanced Nutrients products in the 'pH Perfect' range, there will be no need for pH adjustment.
If you have used nutrients and additives from other ranges then you will need to check and adjust the pH. The Aqua Master P110 is ideal for the job, as it's also capable of measuring EC levels.
Switch to Advanced Nutrients Overdrive three weeks before harvest; it's formulated to push fruit development further, piling on weight in the later stages.

Advanced Nutrients recommended dosage rates are used as a guideline only. Slower growing plants and those that are not 100% healthy will require a lower dosage rate.
As with all nutrients, boosters and additives, never mix them together in their concentrated form (i.e. straight from the bottle). Always add each nutrient, booster or additive to your reservoir water in turn, giving the solution a good stir to mix it in before adding the next one.
