Raises Levels of Calcium and Magnesium - Ideal for Soft Water Areas

Mills Nutrients CalMag contains large quantities of calcium and magnesium. It's ideal for growers in soft water areas with a starting EC of below 0.3, and for growers using reverse osmosis filters to remove impurities.

Adding extra phosphorus and potassium in peak flower can sometimes cause calcium and magnesium to get locked out (whatever your water type), and a bottle of CalMag can counter this issue, making it very handy to have around. It will treat any deficiencies in these key nutrients, bringing your plants back to full health.

How Mills CalMag Works

Calcium plays an array of roles in plant health, strengthening the walls of each individual cell, and activating enzymes which act as biocatalysts, speeding up chemical reactions. Without adequate calcium, growth rates will become stunted and plants start to experience stress and greater levels of susceptibility to adverse environmental conditions, pests and diseases.

Magnesium forms a vital component of chlorophyll, the green pigment that is essential to the process of photosynthesis, where light energy is captured and used to extract carbon from carbon dioxide in the surrounding atmosphere. Optimising photosynthesis rates has a big knock-on effect for plant growth, allowing plants to reach their full potential.

If you're running a soft water nutrient like Basis A&B SW, you might not need to use CalMag. Basis has a formula that already accounts for the lack of calcium and magnesium in the tap water.
