What is DiffuseAir?
Maintaining an optimal environment is one of the most important aspects of your grow. This is because plants depend on the process of photosynthesis to produce sugars. Your environment is the key factor in deciding how smoothly that process plays out.
In photosynthesis, plants create glucose using carbon dioxide from the surrounding atmosphere and the energy from sunlight (or your grow light).
This is the chemical equation for the process of converting H2O and CO2 to glucose (C6H12O6), with oxygen as a by-product:
6CO2 + 6H2O = C6H12O6 + 6O2
Your extraction and intake systems will ensure that enough CO2 is drawn into the grow area, but the question is:
Are you sure that the CO2 is being properly distributed around your plants?
Are the conditions right (in all areas of your grow room) for your plants to use it?
How Does DiffuseAir Work?
DiffuseAirs work much, much better than circulation fans. Circulation fans have served us well over the years, but they come with a few shortcomings.
Blowing air directly at plants dries them out, which can result in an increase in mineral salt concentrations. This is not a good thing!
It will also cause stomata to close, slowing down the the rate of photosynthesis, which you don't want to happen.
The DiffuseAir distributes air evenly around the grow area, ensuring that plants always have access to co2. It also generates the optimal environmental conditions required for your plants to actually use it.
It will help to control temperatures, remove hotspots, eliminate microclimates and reduce the issues caused by traditional fans.
The gentle movement it provides will also help to toughen up plants, increasing the thickness of stems and improving the strength of branches, allowing them to support more weight.
Slight movement creates microtears - and as these microtears heal up, plants become stronger. The process works in the same way that weightlifting works for humans.
