Produce a Large, Healthy and Dense Root System in Less Time with Superoots Air-Pots

The Superoots Air-pot is the revolutionary next step in plant-pot technology, offering an advanced way of growing using pretty much any growing medium, whether it's soil, coco or hydroponic (like clay pebbles). The Superoots Air-Pot produces stronger and thicker root-systems which are clearly superior when compared to those grown in a similarly sized traditional pot. The novel design encourages a thick and healthy root system to form, making the most of the container, while boosting plant health and performance and eliminating root circling. This bigger and better root-system, in turn, leads to healthier plants and heavier yields.

The Superoots Air-Pot comes in a range of sizes for any indoor garden, so whatever your needs are, we have a Superoots Air-Pot thats right for you. Highly recommended!

How the Superoots Air-Pot Works

The Superoots Air-pot is a growing container which is circular in shape but with a unique perforated side-wall which is textured like an egg-carton. In a conventional pot, roots grow outwards from the plant and when they hit the side-wall they begin to spiral around it. This process is relatively inefficient, as the root-system ends up being densest around the last centimetre or so of soil in the pot, leaving much of the soil within the container devoid of any roots. The Superoots Air-Pot works in a very different way. Roots begin growing out from the plant as normal but when the roots hit the side-wall they are guided into a cone, towards a perforation on the outside. As the roots do this they hit higher air-density and stop growing, an effect called “air-pruning”. This causes the plant to send out more and more root-shoots which fill out the soil with a full and dense root-system whish isn't just more effecient, its much healthier for the plant too.

About

  • Clever design uses 'air-pruning' to encourage a dense, fibrous and healthy radial root system
  • Effectively eliminates root circling around the sides of the pot
  • Makes the most of the container size you use
  • Reduces the time it takes to develop a thick root system
  • Improves nutrient uptake by increasing the strength and vigour of the root system
  • Creates a root-system that is not possible in conventional pots
  • Oxygenates the root zone, further increasing root health
  • Will have a dramatic effect on yields
  • Unmatched aeration and drainage — much harder to over-water than regular pots
  • Masively reduces the likelihood of developing root diseases like pythium
  • Spares screw fittings and bases are available
  • Made using recycled HDPE

How To Use

How to Use the Superoots Air-Pot

The Superoots Air-Pot is easy and quick to assemble. Simply wrap the side-wall into a cylinder, with the holes at the base end. The opposite end (the top  of the container) has sealed holes, ensure you use the sealed end as the top of the container, otherwise water will easily pour out. The base is held between the first two rows of raised cones and secondary set of cones above it. Attach the 2 ends of the side-wall together using the supplied screw-in fixings. Fill the pot with your grow-medium and ensure you press down the medium tightly, filling in any gaps.

Plant your seedling/cutting or growing plant into it and water thoroughly. Due to the holes around the outside, the medium within the container will tend to dry out more quickly than in conventional pots. This means that a plant in a Superoots Air-pot will need more frequent watering than one in a conventional pot. When watering we recommend adding water fairly slowly and towards the centre of the pot to ensure that the medium is evenly and thoroughly soaked. Leakage should only occur from the Superoots Air-Pot at its base.
