How the Ruck Isotx In-line Acoustic Box Fans Work:

The Ruck Isotx In-line Acoustic Box Fan is a high quality intake/outlet fan for extracting old, stale air from your grow-space or for supplying it with fresh air. The fans are housed in a lightweight and strong metal casing with external ports for easy connection to ducting, filters, airsocks or other accessories. The fan itself is a “squirrel cage” type with the intake and outlet being adjacent sides rather than opposing sides. Melonix acoustic insulation is used internally to keep noise to a minimum. The fan can be powered directly from the mains or via a fan-speed controller (not included) to control the fan-speed and air-flow. The Ruck Isotx In-line Acoustic Box Fan are very well-made and during use they are very quiet for the amount of air flow that they produce.

Using the Ruck Isotx In-line Acoustic Box Fans:

The Ruck Isotx In-line Acoustic Box Fan can be used to draw air out of your grow-space via a carbon filter such as CarboAir Carbon Filters or ducting. Insulated ducting or Phonic Trap ducting is highly recommended where noise is to be kept as low as possible. Inlet and outlet ducting should be attached to the vents with Duct Clips (not included). The Ruck Isotx In-line Acoustic Box Fan can be floor-mounted or mounted to a surface in any position with the supplied bracket. Ruck Isotx In-line Acoustic Box Fan can either be connected directly to the mains or fed from a Fan Speed Controller via an IEC mains cable.

Do not under any circumstances put your fingers into the spinning blades of a fan, especially an in-line type. Even a small fan has enough power to cause severe injury and loss of fingers. Just don’t do it, no matter how tempted you are. Keep ducting runs as short as possible as every metre of ducting reduces the flow-rate that the fan can achieve. The more ducting attached, the lower the air-flow. Bear in mind that a carbon filter will reduce the air-flow that your fan can achieve by about 25% just on it’s own. When turning a corner with ducting try to create a swept bend rather than a sharp knee as this will reduce air-flow by the least amount and also help to keep wind-noise down.
