How the Parabolic Versatile Reflector 95cm - White Works:

The Parabolic Versatile is a curved reflector that houses your choice of HID lamp via its supplied E40 lamp holder. Unlike most other reflectors, the lamp in this unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally. When mounted vertically the majority of the lamps output is directed sideways towards curved surfaces and reflected back down towards the canopy. This method creates a uniform spread of light. Naturally, an even light spread leads to a more even canopy, adding consistency when growing larger numbers of plants in a given area. Alternatively the lamp can be mounted horizontally for ease of use in a grow room with restricted area making the reflector useable in vitually any space.
These effects are all enhanced greatly by the white powder finish and also features vents around the lamp holder, when mounted vertically to allow heat to escape through the top of the reflector.

The Parabolic Versatile reflector is supplied with a 375cm power cable with an IEC (kettle lead) connection. The IEC adapter is used to connect to a ballast of a suitable output for the lamp fitted to the reflector.

How to Use the Parabolic Versatile Reflector:

To assemble the Parabolic reflector, lay the top plate on a large flat surface so that the vents are facing downwards. The leaves can then be fitted over the outer edge of the plate, one at a time. Note that each leaf should overlap the previous leaf as you secure the 'M4' nuts, bolts and washers in place. Gently bend the reflector leaves if necessary to enable the nuts and bolts to be fitted easily. Repeat the process until the reflector is complete. Once done, turn the reflector over and use the 4 sets of 'M5' nuts and bolts to secure the E40 lamp holder in the horizontal or vertical mounting position.

The Parabolic Reflector is designed for use with any vertically or horizontally mounted HPS or MH lamp. Simply hang the reflector over the centre of the grow-space at an appropriate height using easy rolls, jack chains or rope ratchets. Holding your lamp with a clean cloth, insert it into the E40 bulb-holder and screw it in very firmly.

Plug the lead into an appropriate ballast for HPS/MH type bulbs or an IEE (kettle type) mains lead for fluorescent type bulbs and switch on.

Warning: When HID lamps are switched on they run extremely hot. As with all high pressure sodium and metal halide bulbs it is necessary to avoid touching the lamp with anything such as fingers or plants as this may cause severe burns or fires. In particular avoid sprays or liquids coming into contact with the lamp as this may cause premature failure or even an explosion.
