Joe's thoughts on this product - "T5 lighting is the way to go for seeds, cuttings and the early veg stage. Many of our in-store plants are grown under T5 fluorescent lights and we get great veg growth without breaking the bank at the end of each month. In some of the units we have swapped half of the blue lamps for red lamps, for certain species of plan, to aid faster growth. But remember, in order to be productive and to get the most back from your plants, you need to get plants under HPS lighting sooner rather than later, there is no substitute for sodium lights, especially in the flower cycle."

How the LightWave T5 Works:

T5's are, quite simply, the best fluorescent tubes available. They produce more lumens per watt than any other fluorescent tube and the blue-white colour spectrum type supplied with the Maxibright LightWaves is ideal for propagation and vegetative plant growth. The T5 tubes are fitted into a robust metal case with a carefully shaped reflector that ensures all the light from each individual tube is directed downwards where it is needed. The case includes a power switch and attached fittings for easy hanging. All the models listed come complete with Cool Daylight T5 Tubes in the appropriate size. Warm Daylight 27K Tubes are available separately.

OSGS Top Tip:
Many growers have reported to us that in addition to the blue, a little red colour light, even during veg and propagation, makes their plants happier and healthier. The Maxibright T5 fittings make it easy to swap out 1 of the 2 tubes to a Warm Daylight 27K Tubes (available separately) if you should wish to see the difference for yourself.

How to Use the Maxibright LightWave T5:

Hang the Maxibright Lightwave T5 unit over the centre of your grow-space at an appropriate height from the wire hangers. Our Easy Rolls or Ratchet Hangers are ideal for this. Feed the power cable over to a convenient mains socket and plug it in. A power switch on the unit itself makes it easy to switch it on and off.
