Maxibright Horizon Reflector

Get the very best from your CDM with the Maxibright Horizion Reflector

CDM lighting has become a interal part of indoor horticulture in the past few years and while approached intially as a supplemental lighting system only now the new breed of reflectors and lamps are fast out perfoming there HPS counterparts, gifting growers healthier, more robust and resinous plants. There has been a short fall is using the CDM lamps with standard reflectors, while these work they aren't made directly for the CDM bulbs and need to be worked around to function at all, still they don't combine perfectly so Maxibright have launched a custom designed lighting reflector purpose built for the job.

The Maxibright Horizon Reflector is part of the next generation of lighting designed to help you get the very best from your CDM light, with excellent bulid quality and rigorous testing as standard you can be sure your plants will lap up every last useable lumen. The first thing that strikes you is the size it's tiny and very light weight, the reflector has an incredible spread over a distance up to 2.4 meters wide and when you compare the spread to it's actual size you can see all the time and effort that's gone into this small but perfectly formed reflector.

  • Unique size and shape
  • Can be used as a standalone or supplementry reflector
  • Super light weight
  • Gives great coverage even in a large area
  • CDM lamps generate less heat whilst using less energy
  • Disipates heat via it's open, double layered design
  • Made of highly reflective aluminium
  • Comes fitted with in-bulit CDM lamp holder, no need for a E40 adapter

How the Maxibright Horizon Reflector Works:

Whilst both small and lightweight this reflector packs a punch when it comes to spreading your full spectrum CDM light, it's desgined especailly to throw light to the far reaches of your growing area with one reflector capable of dispersing light up to 2.4 meters in width! The reflector also avoids downward heat spots associated with many reflectors out there, the design of this reflector ensures your indoor garden will be evenly and brightly lit in all areas and at all angles because of it wide angled design.

Although it can be used as a standalone reflector you get a far superior benefit by mounting the Maxibright Horizon Reflector between two HID lights. Typically we'd recommend two Adjust-a-Wings grow systems mounted side by side with the Horizon Reflector in the center, that way your getting the added benefit's of both the HID lighitng and the CDM's special spectrum. Because of the CDM's unqiue spectral output you will include more UVA and UVB radiation over your plants, this will encourage more resins to be produced
as a natral defence mechanisium.

How to Use the Maxibright Horizon Reflector

Simply hang the reflector over the centre of the grow-space at an appropriate height using easy rolls, rope ratchet hangers or jack chain. Always screw the lamp into the lamp-holder in your reflector as tightly as possible by gripping the lamp with a clean, dry cloth. If the lamp is not screwed in as tightly as possible, arcing can occur between the centre contact of the lamp and the lamp-holder. This melts the solder contact on the bottom of the lamp, causing damage and making it un-usable. Make sure that the lamp is clean and completely free of fingerprints and other contaminants. Finally, make sure that your reflector is hung at the correct height.

Mount the light in the center of the grow space, remember the Horizon spreads light increadblly well to all
areas of the growing area and can't be adjusted to focus light down so it needs to sit ideally in between two other lighting fixtures or dead center of the space.

PLEASE NOTE: The 315w CDM lamps need to be bedded in as follows: on first illumination the lamp needs to be run continuously for a minimum of 15 minutes. This will allow the metals within the lamp to fuse correctly.

FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN LAMP FAILURE!
If the above is not adhered to, lamp warranty claims will be void.

Warning: When CDM HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamps are switched on they run extremely hot. As with all HID lamps it is necessary to avoid touching the lamp with anything such as fingers or plants as this may cause severe burns or fires. In particular, avoid sprays or liquids coming into contact with the lamp as this may cause premature failure or even an explosion.

Also available is the Maxibright Daylight 315w Horizon Connect Reflector. This reflector holds the ballast as a single unit.
