Sunmaster Compact 600 Watt Magnetic Ballast
Joe's thoughts on this product - "We have sold this ballast for the past 6 years in-store, so must have sold 10's of thousands of them, it's simple, we just don't get any back, and I've got customers who have been running the same ballast for 5 years. They are bullet proof and a known performer. We have just finishing testing virtually every magnetic ballast currently available in the UK, the range of Sunmaster Compact ballasts are some of the top performers of their price bracket, and more importantly they have a true 600 watt light output, you would not believe the number of so called 600 watt ballasts that only have a light output of between 430-520 watts."

How the Sunmaster Compact Ballast Works:
The Sunmaster Compact 600 Watt Magnetic Ballast converts mains electricity to the correct voltage and current to start-up and power a 600 Watt HPS or MH lamp by using a traditional magnetic core & coil system.
Using the Sunmaster Compact Ballast:
The Sunmaster Compact 600 Watt Ballast runs warm in use and should be located on a flat, firm, surface (not carpet) in a well ventilated place. The Sunmaster Compact 600 Watt Ballast should never be covered and there should be no combustible items in the vicinity. Connect the input lead of your reflector to the output lead of the ballast ensuring the cable is not pulled tight and does not come into contact with anything hot (e.g. lamp, reflector, ballast). Ensure your lamp is tightly screwed into the bulb-holder and that your reflector is at the correct height.
The wattage of your ballast MUST match the wattage of the lamp you are using or there will be a high risk of fires or equipment damage. Always consider the inrush current drawn by a ballast when it is switched on. Your mains supply may trip out if several come on at the same time. Connect the mains plug into an electrical outlet socket and switch on. The ballast will start-up and light the lamp. Please note that in the event of an interruption to the mains supply, the ballast may not be able to restart the lamp until it has cooled back down.
Economical and well made, this ballast is perfect for beginners or even to keep as a spare, just in case!
For use with 600 Watt HPS or MH lamps only.
