Icetube pipe lowers the temperature of the nutrient solution in your system using a simple but effective dual-core design. A white outer layer reflects light and lowers heat levels within the pipe, while the black inner layer protects against UV. This has a profound effect on the overall temperature of your nutrients. Lower nutrient temps (18°C) mean fewer problems and healthier plants. If nutrient temps exceed 21°C, the quantity of dissolved oxygen that your nutrient solution can hold is drastically reduced and your reservoir becomes a breeding ground for pathogenic bacteria and fungi. Every degree counts, especially during the summer – Icetube piping could well be the difference between a completely failed crop and a bumper harvest.

How Icetube 4mm Flexi-Pipe Works:
The Icetube 4mm Flexi-Pipe is the same type of piping supplied with the many hydroponic systems. However, Icetube 4mm Flexi-Pipe lowers the temperature of the nutrient solution in your system using a simple but effective dual-core design. A white outer layer reflects light and lowers heat levels within the pipe, while the black inner layer protects against UV. This helps keep nutrient cooler, therefore allowing more oxygen to exist in the water itself, more oxygen dissolved in your solution allows for a healthier root system, leading to bumper yields. The Icetube 4mm Flexi-Pipe has the added benefit of dramatically reducing the chances of getting pathogenic bacteria and fungi because of its temperature lowering abilities, again down to fact you've got more dissolved oxygen in your nutrient solution.
How to use Icetube 4mm Flexi-Pipe:
Simply cut the The Icetube 4mm Flexi-Pipe to the correct length using pipe-cutters or sharp scissors. Fit Tees and Elbows to the cut ends where required by warming the end of the pipe in hot water and pushing the fittings in. Finally insert the Icetube 4mm Flexi-Pipe or ends of the fittings into the appropriate sealing-glands and tighten.
Please note: if you're using this pipe with an Autopot system, please be aware that Iceline is slightly thicker than standard Autopot flexi pipe (8mm external diameter, as opposed to 6mm). You may need to shave off some of the outer edge to fit the nut around it when connecting to your Aquavalve. The Aquavalve's inlet does have a barb, so the nut is not absolutely essential anyway.
