How the Optilux Ballast Works
The Optilux digital ballast converts mains electricity to the correct voltage and current to start-up and power a 250, 400, 600w HPS or MH lamps. By using the X-Boost feature, you can achieve 660 watts of power, further pushing your plants to their full potential. It produces more lumen output, use less electricity and does not degrade with age like core and coil type magnetic ballasts, which become noisy, use more electricity and produce less lumens as they age. The Optilux features both soft start, which regulates the power flow to your lamp at a steady rate and thermal protection, which protects your lamp and ballast in the event of a power spike or drop in energy supply.
