With blinding intensity, the LUMii Solar 315w CDM Lamps deliver a light spectrum that mimics that of natural sunlight indoors and plant's love it. Not only do the LUMii Solar 315w CDM Lamps run with incredibly intensity they offer your plants greater levels of plant useable light, that can be lacking in other lamps due to their full spectrum profile. The LUMii Solar 315w CDM Lamps are available in two specific spectrums, covering both the growing and blooming phase of a plants life cycle, resulting in happier plants with bumper harvests of superior quality end product.
How the LUMii Solar 315w CDM Lamps work
Both LUMii Solar 315w CDM Lamps produce full spectrum light but each offer slightly different variants of the light spectrum, complementing each phase of plant growth.
LUMii Solar 315w CDM Gro Lamp Perfect for vegetative growth and supplementing HPS lights
The LUMii Solar 315w CDM Gro Lamp produces light predominately in the blue part of the spectrum. This intense blue light is perfect for young and mature plants in the vegetative cycle or for supplementing HPS lights, it has a colour temperature of 4200k, or bright white. The LUMii Solar 315w CDM Lamp promotes tight internodes and squat growth habits in plants and is often referred to a as a "daylight" lamp as it so similar to sunlight.

LUMii Solar 315w CDM Pro Lamp Perfect for standalone CDM fixtures and flowering
The black line in the graph above represents the "McCree Curve", which gives a relative indication of how efficiently a plant uses the different colours in the light spectrum to photosynthesise with.
Both LUMii Solar 315w CDM Lamps are double jacketed for added lamp protection and can be used in supplemental lighting scenario’s or in standalone lighting fixtures. Although LUMii Solar 315w CDM Lamps are made especially for the LUMii Solar Fixtures, such as the LUMii Solar 315w CDM Grow Light or the LUMii Solar 630w CDM Grow Light, they can be used in any CDM grow light system. The LUMii Solar 315w CDM Lamps consume less power than your typical HID lamp, therefore help to reduce running costs and by default don't produce as much heat, allowing you to add more light in the same space.
The LUMii Solar 315w CDM Pro Lamp produces light predominately in the orange and red part of the spectrum. The deeper, enhanced orange and red light is optimised for flowering plants and higher essential oil production, with a colour temperature of 3200k or warm white. The LUMii Solar 315w CDM Pro Lamp is capable of growing plants from start to finish (as it is full spectrum) but is more geared to the bloom phase because of the dominance of the orange and far red illumination.

Remove the old lamp by grasping it and giving it about a quarter turn anti-clockwise. The lamp can then be removed from the lamp-holder. Always use a clean cloth to hold the glass of the new one. This is because the oils on the skin of your hands (even if they have just been washed) can cause damage to the lamp when it is switched on and becomes hot. Note that the 2 pins on the base of the lamp have different size rings on the ends of the pins. Insert the base of the lamp into the lamp holder ensuring that the small ring enters the small hole in the base of the lamp-holder, and the large ring enters the large hole in the base of the lamp-holder. Give the lamp about a quarter turn clockwise to lock it in place (until it turns no more). Your grow light can now be switched on.
Warning: When CDM lamps are switched on they run extremely hot. As with all high-pressure grow lamps it is necessary to avoid touching the lamp with anything such as fingers or plants as this may cause severe burns or fires. In particular avoid sprays or liquids coming into contact with the lamp as this may cause premature failure or even an explosion.
PLEASE NOTE: The 315w CDM lamps need to be bedded in as follows: on first illumination the lamp needs to be run continuously for a minimum of 15-30 minutes. This will allow the metals within the lamp to fuse correctly.
FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN LAMP FAILURE! If the above is not adhered to, lamp warranty claims will be void.
As with all lamps the light output they produce will decrease with use over time. One Stop Grow Shop recommends you replace your lamp regularly to maintain your garden efficiency.
